Westmont won by 32 in the first round last night! The game finished after midnight local time. The NAIA tourney is great because all of the games happen on the same floor over 6 days (that's right - 32 teams to 1 in 6 days on 1 floor), but the downer is late games can run very late.

Well, we stand on the verge of hopefully another great Warrior showing at the national tourney. I'm sure everyone is sleeping, resting for the big day of travel for tomorrow. I, however, cannot sleep because I am nervous, oh yeah and I have a paper due. It seems strange that a senior, who in fact doesnt play very much (dont worry Im not griping about it) would be nervous before a big opportunity like this. Doesnt this show fear?
No, it shows we are ready. My friends, the adrenaline is pumping, the heart is racing, and the stomach is a queezin'. I know we will be at our bests during this time. We have been prepared all season long and now it comes time for the final exam. In a way we just need to put it in cruise, at hight speeds, however.
Please pray for us and our safety, especially during this time of war and increase terror alerts. Hope to see you back in SB after April 1 with a great big banner in tow. God bless, Beef

With one week left for the pollsters, it looks like three GSAC schools are a lock for the NAIA National Tournament (Azusa, Concordia, Westmont). There have been a lot of surprises in the GSAC tournament in the past years, so there may be four teams represented ...we'll have to wait and see.
Here's how the GSAC looks in the latest top 25 poll: Here is Westmont's ascending journey over the last 6 weeks: |
